    Three decades as Senior Librarian have made Dr. Holloway the keeper of the Society's most ambitious cataloguing project — the Lyon Collection — and the editor of two definitive bibliographies on early American letters.

    Founding editor of the Society's Press, Dr. Whitfield has shepherded sixty-two titles to publication over twenty-eight years. His own monograph on civic publishing remains in print and in syllabi.

    Curator of the annual Distinguished Lecture for fourteen seasons, Prof. Ashworth's programming has brought scholars and practitioners from twenty-three countries to the Long Gallery rostrum.
