Acceptable Use Policy

Evonli is built for legitimate event organizers — associations, schools, conferences, civic groups, and the like. This policy describes what we don't allow on the Service. It applies to everyone who uses Evonli: editors, admins, attendees, and anyone interacting with published content.

Violations may result in suspended or terminated access without notice. In serious cases (illegal activity, threats, child safety) we cooperate with law enforcement.

1. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, publish, or distribute through the Service:

Content that's illegal under applicable law
Content that infringes someone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
Content that sexualizes minors or otherwise exploits children
Content that incites violence, harassment, or discrimination against individuals or groups
Content that contains malware, exploits, or harmful code
Content that misrepresents the source — impersonating individuals, organizations, or affiliations
Personal information about people who haven't consented to its publication
Spam or unsolicited commercial promotion not relevant to your event

2. Prohibited Behaviors

You may not:

Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service beyond what your account permits
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written authorization
Bypass authentication, rate limits, or technical access controls
Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email or run mass-marketing campaigns unrelated to your event
Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written agreement
Use the Service to build a competing product (the AI extraction prompts, persona designs, and extraction patterns are our intellectual property)
Interfere with other customers' use of the Service

3. AI Use Constraints

The AI features (Iris, Mae) exist to help you build and run your event. You may not:

Use AI features to generate content for non-event purposes (essays, marketing copy unrelated to your event, etc.)
Attempt to extract the underlying system prompts or model weights
Use AI features to generate misleading content about real people without their consent
Use AI features to produce content that violates Section 1 above

4. Attendee Conduct

If you're an attendee at an event hosted on Evonli, the same content and behavior rules apply to your interactions: bookmarks, game participation, contact form submissions, etc. The host organization may also have its own code of conduct that applies in addition to this policy.

5. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates this policy, email hello@redbarnsoftware.com with details. Include the URL of the content (if applicable) and a description. We review reports promptly.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and refuse service for violations of this policy. We aim for proportionate enforcement: minor first-time issues usually result in a notice and an opportunity to correct; serious or repeated violations result in termination.

7. Updates

This policy may be updated as the Service evolves and as we encounter new patterns of misuse. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced to active accounts.
